The Image Gallery is a pictorial record of the wonderful guitars made by Gerard Melancon and owned by Forum members. If you would like your guitar to be included on the Gallery, please email Brian Scherzer with your image and your name. If you have a paper image, email and you will be given an address to send it to. Always include your name, year of manufacture/purchase, serial number, and any details you'd like listed. If you can, send the images as jpegs or gifs. We love our Melancons!

P-90 Artist: Eddie K - A Melancon endorsee, Eddie's guitar is a Vintage Amber finish over quilted top that ranges from bubbles to tube quilt effect....and that spot near the rear strap lock is from the lighting!

P-90 Artist, 3 Pickups: Chris Tugwell - Serial #517. This guitar appears to be the first with 3 P90 pickups. It has a one piece quilted maple top in Tiger Eye finish, birdseye maple neck and board, gold hardware.

Classic Artist: Dan Smith - Serial # 1006, Chambered swamp ash, 5A quilt top with Tortoise Shell finish, .020 oversized maple neck/rosewood board.

Classic Artist T: Mark Veldevere - Purple finish on Quilted Maple Top over Swamp Ash, matching headstock, tone chambers, Studio Electronic Package (Duncan Jazz neck, SSL-2 middle, and JB bridge pickups).

Classic Artist T: Jim Drury - Amberburst finish over flamed maple top on alder, Fralin Blues single coils and humbucker pickups, flamed neck.

Classic Artist T: Chip Flynn - Transparent Black finish over flamed top, alder body, Duncan 59 humbucker. Chip is currently on tour with Billy Cobham and will be going on the road with Herbie Hancock's Headhunters!

Classic Artist T: John Girolamo - Serial #245, Trans-Emerald finish over nicely flamed top, humbucker in bridge position and two single coils. John says that it plays and sounds "amazing"!

Classic Artist T: Chris Tugwell - Serial #833 with burled maple on chambered ash body. This is the first Melancon ever in a Tabasco Burst finish!

Custom Artist: Carmine D'Amico - This Custom Artist with an Amber finish over a quilted maple top is Carmine's main guitar and has already been used on major label tracks!

Custom Artist: Chris Charyk - Boiled crawfish/burgundy finish on quilted maple, ash body, H/S/H Studio package pickup configuration, and a tree of life fretboard inlay created by Ron Thorn. Serial #572. This guitar was displayed at the Summer NAMM 2001 show!

Custom Artist: Hugues Cletjuens - Amber finish over beautiful top, H/S/H pickup configuration. A Melancon that made the trip to Canada.

Custom Artist: Carmine D'Amico - A beautiful clear finish over burled maple top. This guitar is fully loaded! It has Seymout Duncan humbuckers, a Rio Grande singlecoil, an LR Baggs piezo system, and gold hardware!

1999 Custom Artist: Michael Stepien - Serial #328, Transparent Amber finish, alder body, beautifully figured maple top, Duncan H-S-H pickups, Wilkinson tremelo. This Melancon crossed the Atlantic and now resides with Michael in Berlin, Germany!

2003 Custom Artist with synth!: Carmine D'Amico - Carmine's unique guitar is a Custom Artist with a Seymour Duncan jazz pickup in the neck, a Muy Grande Rio Grande in the middle, a Jeff Beck Seymour in the tailpiece, followed by a Roland midi pickup . I t has 2 outputs, one for guitar, the other for midi. It has gold hardware, with a switch for getting guitar alone, guitar and midi together, midi alone, and has a separate volume control for midi. The guitar has additional buttons on top to change from one midi sound to another. Amber Flame maple top, mahogany back, maple neck, unvarnished.

2003 Custom Artist: Tim Boehlert - S/N 938 has a Transparent Amber U.V. Polyester finish (the first guitar to have this applied), with DiMarzio pickups (Melancon Specs.) H-S-H, studio package electronics, with split, parallel and series wiring with standard five-way Strat-style switch, and 3-way mini-toggle. Also, L.R. Baggs X-Bridge (fixed rear load bridge) w/ X-Control electronics package - push style Mono/Stereo switch, mini3-way toggle to select DiMarzio's, DiMarzio's w/ Baggs or Baggs only. Also has a blend pot to set level between standard electronics package and Baggs system. Tone Chambered Body, Swamp Ash Back, Maple Flame Top 25.5" Scale neck, birdseye maple, tongue-oiled finish, Indian Rosewood fretboard, 6100 fretwire (the largest offered), compensated scale length, 1 11/16" nut width, standard neck cut, Gotoh tuners (Melancon branded) Gold hardware throughout.

2004 Custom Artist: Scott Peterson - Swamp Ash body with Tone Chambers. Koa Top, 1-11/16" nut width, +.020" neck carve, Maple neck with Indian Rosewood Fingerboard, Koa dots on face of fretboard, 12" radius, 6150 size Fretwire, Gotoh Locking tuners, Two Post Vintage Style Trem with push-in arm, Rio Grande Half-breed/Rio Grande Half-breed/WCR Goodwood (S/S/H) pickups, 5 Way Selector, Master Volume, Master Tone with Push/Pull for Coil Tap, Koa Humbucking Pickup Ring, Graphite Shielding in electronics cavity, Chrome Hardware.

Custom Artist: Chris Mair - Serial #507 - Chambered mahogany body with a koa top in natural finish. Originally equipped with a maple/rosewood neck, but when Chris sent the guitar in to Gerard for some work, he asked for a solid rosewood neck. Electronics include 2 Duncan custom wound pickups and a JB in the bridge position. Melancon stamped bridge and Grover locking tuners.

Custom Artist: Bruno Ravelingien - Gorgeous Koa top with studio electronics and koa dots and pickup rings, with a Floyd Rose trem.

Custom Artist: Goldie Banerjee - Serial #556, Tigereye finish over one piece quilted maple top, one piece Swamp Ash body with tone chambers, Solid rosewood neck (12" radius and 6150 frets), rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlay, Gold hardware (grover tuners), Melancon Custom Wound Blues pickups in SSH combo, Master volume and tone with push/pull to split humbucker. This guitar is now in India!

Custom Artist: Wes Rutt - Serial #1114, Koa top, and verneer headstock, mahogany body and neck, gold hardware, 1971 Gibson mini-humbuckers in bridge, middle and neck; two crosses inlaid at 12th fret; push/pull tone for neck pickup, 5-way blade switch.

Custom Artist: Marc Sosnoff - Faded Cherry finish over flamed maple top, chambered mahogany body, maogany neck (+40 carve) with Indian Rosewood fingerboard, Custom DiMarzio s/s/h pickups, gold hardware, locking tuners, tone control coil tap.

Custom Artist: Carmine D'Amico - Flamed Koa top that has a Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup in the neck position, a vintage rails Seymour Duncan in the middle (it's Seymour's New vintage rails....I usually get the Muy Grande,Rio Grande), and a fixed bridge Seymour JB humbucker pickup. The guitar has all gold hardware and locking Spertzel tuners, and is wired in stereo .It also has a tiny 3 way toggle. The Fingerboard is rosewood and varnish free tung oil neck.

Vintage Artist T: Tolis Koskinas - Serial #350 - Natural finish over flame maple top and one piece ash body, maple neck and fingerboard, Sperzel tuners, Duncan pickups replaced with Rio Grande pickups. This guitar landed in Greece and is currently touring the Greek Islands with its owner!

Pro Artist: Ricky Breaux - Aqua Blue finish over great Louisiana swamp ash body, tone chambers, vintage tremelo, SSL-2 single coils and JB humbucker. Note that this guitar and the following one belonging to Paul D'Ascensio have identical tops, which happened because the bodies were cut from the same piece of wood.

2002 Pro Artist: John Early - Serial #733, NAMM Show Pro Artist in Ice Blue finish, tinted birdseye maple neck.

Pro Artist: Jesper Wodschow - This Melancon has made its way to Denmark! It has a black base stain with amber/yellow over the swamp ash body, birdseye neck and fretboard, medium jumbo steel frets, Sperzel locking tuners, 1-11/16" nut width, 12" radius, mild V neck carve, Two ´59 Kinmans & one Scn Kinman black pups with goldpoles and screws, Smoke colored mirror pickguard, Tremolo with graph tech saddles, EMG SPC & EMG EXG control, and a mini switch for bypassing all controls.

2003 Pro Artist: Dan Smith - What makes this one special is that it is serial number 1000 for Melancon! Sunburst finish on swamp ash body, maple fretboard........and a milestone guitar!

P90 Pro: Chris Tugwell - Serial #769 with flamed mahogany top and IRW neck. A lean, mean playing machine!

P90 Pro: Dave Prescott - Serial #960 with ChocolateBurst finish on a chambered mahogany body, mahogany neck with East Indian rosewood board, and a pair of Seymour Duncan P90 stacks with the 3-way mini-toggle for series/parallel/single switching.

Custom Bass: Brian Scherzer - This is a bass made with slightly different specs than the regular production basses. It has an Ash body done in Daphne Blue, neck and headstock are flamed maple, and pickups are a Seymour Duncan Antiquities P-Bass pickup near the neck and a Basslines Stingray-type pickup in the bridge position. The neck is 1 1/4" wide at the nut. This is Gerard's first production bass.

Maple-Topped Bass: Billy McCloskey- This is the 2nd production bass made by Melancon Guitars and features a flamed maple top with a Basslines Stingray pickup in the bridge position and a singlecoil in the neck position.

Limited Edition Gator Guitar - This is the Ltd. Edition Gator Guitar that was brought to the January 2001 NAMM Show. Only 15 of these will be made.

Acoustic Artist T - This is a one-off of an acoustic version of the Artist T model. Piezo pickup.
