         The Image Gallery is a pictorial record of the wonderful guitars made by Gerard Melancon and owned by Forum members. If you would like your guitar to be included on the Gallery, please email Brian Scherzer with your image and your name. If you have a paper image, email and you will be given an address to send it to. Always include your name, year of manufacture/purchase, serial number, and any details you'd like listed. If you can, send the images as jpegs or gifs. We love our Melancons!

P-90 Artist:  Eddie K - A Melancon endorsee, Eddie's guitar is a Vintage Amber finish over quilted top that ranges from bubbles to tube quilt effect....and that spot near the rear strap lock is from the lighting!

P-90 Artist:  Mac Baker - Mac's lefty guitar features a natural finish on a wonderful flamed Koa wood top, gold hardware.........how's this for eye candy!!

Custom Artist:  Carmine D'Amico - This Custom Artist with an Amber finish over a quilted maple top is Carmine's main guitar and has already been used on major label tracks!

Custom Artist: Chris Charyk - Boiled crawfish/burgundy finish on quilted maple, ash body, H/S/H Studio package pickup configuration, and a tree of life fretboard inlay created by Ron Thorn. Serial #572. This guitar was displayed at the Summer NAMM 2001 show!

Custom Artist:  Hugues Cletjuens - Amber finish over beautiful top, H/S/H pickup configuration. A Melancon that made the trip to Canada.

Custom Artist:  Carmine D'Amico - A beautiful clear finish over burled maple top. This guitar is fully loaded! It has Seymout Duncan humbuckers, a Rio Grande singlecoil, an LR Baggs piezo system, and gold hardware!

1999 Custom Artist:  Michael Stepien - Serial #328, Transparent Amber finish, alder body, beautifully figured maple top, Duncan H-S-H pickups, Wilkinson tremelo. This Melancon crossed the Atlantic and now resides with Michael in Berlin, Germany!

2003 Custom Artist with synth!:  Carmine D'Amico - Carmine's unique guitar is a Custom Artist with a Seymour Duncan jazz pickup in the neck, a Muy Grande Rio Grande in the middle, a Jeff Beck Seymour in the tailpiece, followed by a Roland midi pickup . I t has 2 outputs, one for guitar, the other for midi. It has gold hardware, with a switch for getting guitar alone, guitar and midi together, midi alone, and has a separate volume control for midi. The guitar has additional buttons on top to change from one midi sound to another. Amber Flame maple top, mahogany back, maple neck, unvarnished.

2003 Custom Artist:  Tim Boehlert - S/N 938 has a Transparent Amber U.V. Polyester finish (the first guitar to have this applied), with DiMarzio pickups (Melancon Specs.) H-S-H,  studio package electronics,  with split,  parallel and series wiring with standard five-way Strat-style switch,  and 3-way mini-toggle. Also, L.R. Baggs X-Bridge (fixed rear load bridge) w/ X-Control electronics package - push style Mono/Stereo switch, mini3-way toggle to select DiMarzio's, DiMarzio's w/ Baggs or Baggs only. Also has a blend pot to set level between standard electronics package and Baggs system. 2004 Custom Artist:  Scott Peterson Swamp Ash body with Tone Chambers. Koa Top,  1-11/16" nut width, +.020" neck carve, Maple neck with Indian Rosewood Fingerboard,  Koa dots on face of fretboard,  12" radius,  6150 size Fretwire, Gotoh Locking tuners,  Two Post Vintage Style Trem with push-in arm,  Rio Grande Half-breed/Rio Grande Half-breed/WCR Goodwood (S/S/H) pickups,  5 Way Selector, Master Volume, Master Tone with Push/Pull for Coil Tap,  Koa Humbucking Pickup Ring, Graphite Shielding in electronics cavity, Chrome Hardware.

Custom Artist:  Chris Mair - Serial #507 - Chambered mahogany body with a koa top in natural finish. Originally equipped with a maple/rosewood neck, but when Chris sent the guitar in to Gerard for some work, he asked for a solid rosewood neck. Electronics include 2 Duncan custom wound pickups and a JB in the bridge position.  Melancon stamped bridge and Grover locking tuners.  

Custom Artist:  Bruno Ravelingien - Gorgeous Koa top with studio electronics and koa dots and pickup rings,  with a Floyd Rose trem.

Custom Artist:  Goldie Banerjee - Serial #556, Tigereye finish over one piece quilted maple top, one piece Swamp Ash body with tone chambers, Solid rosewood neck (12" radius and 6150 frets), rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlay, Gold hardware (grover tuners), Melancon Custom Wound Blues pickups in SSH combo, Master volume and tone with push/pull to split humbucker. Custom Artist:  Wes Rutt - Serial #1114, Koa top, and verneer headstock, mahogany body and neck, gold hardware, 1971 Gibson mini-humbuckers in bridge, middle and neck; two crosses inlaid at 12th fret; push/pull tone for neck pickup, 5-way blade switch.

P90 Pro:  Dave Prescott - Serial #960 with ChocolateBurst finish on a chambered mahogany body, mahogany neck with East Indian rosewood board, and a pair of Seymour Duncan P90 stacks with the 3-way mini-toggle for series/parallel/single switching.

 

BASSES:

Custom Bass:  Brian Scherzer - This is a bass made with slightly different specs than the regular  production basses.  It has an Ash body done in Daphne Blue, neck and headstock are flamed maple, and pickups are a Seymour Duncan Antiquities P-Bass pickup near the neck and a Basslines Stingray-type pickup in the bridge position. The neck is 1 1/4" wide at the nut.  This is Gerard's first production bass.

Maple-Topped Bass:  Billy  McCloskey- This is the 2nd production bass made by Melancon Guitars and features a flamed maple top with a Basslines Stingray pickup in the bridge position and a singlecoil in the neck position.

 

MISCELLANEOUS:

Limited Edition Gator Guitar - This is the Ltd. Edition Gator Guitar that was brought to the January 2001 NAMM Show. Only 15 of these will be made.

Another Look At The Gator Inlay - It's hard to photograph the inlay to have it look like it does in real life.

Acoustic Artist T - This is a one-off of an acoustic version of the Artist T model.  Piezo pickup.
